My
visit to Uddevalla
I
would like to thank you all for this wonderful weekend with your
overwhelming warm hearted hospitality and for organising such a well run
show. My special thanks goes to Kristina, Theres, Börje, Rebecca,
Christine, Tommy and the ring secretaries and stewards. For us foreign
judges, coming from other systems, it is such a treat to be led through all
its "cliffs"! My
thanks and my respect goes also to the exhibitors for bringing such high
quality dogs, for their attention to always be on time in the rings and
especially for their sportsmanship. I had some very nice Welsh Springers and
it was a great pleasure for me to judge them. I was also delighted with my
Goldenbaby, to which I could award BIS puppy 1 on Sunday. In Tollers, I
found some of excellent quality, the Curlys of remarkable size and a nice
Chesapeake bitch.
I
had the great honour to judge the BIS on Saturday. There was a remarkable
line up; My winner was the Golden Retriever, so full of quality, well put
together and this gentle temperament – a fantastic representative of this
breed with that extra bit of glamour! Runner up was the American Cocker
Spaniel, a outstanding mover with a lovely top line.
I
was very impressed the next day of the top-standard in Flatcoats – there
have been so many with this extra bit of high class, which one does not find
everywhere. Of course I was delighted to see my BOB taking the BIS on
Sunday.
